Washington Association of Educators of the Talented and Gifted
WAETAG is a non-profit Washington state organization which supports the education of gifted and talented persons through an annual conference for professionals and with a web site and newsletter filled with resources relevant to gifted youth and educators. Join this network of dedicated and concerned professionals who are continually striving to better meet the needs of gifted and talented youth in Washington State.

Major activities for WAETAG
- Serving as a link between educators and parents for local, state, and national resources relating to gifted children and their education
- Hosting an annual state-wide conference with nationally known speakers and Washington resources
- Supporting periodic Leadership Conferences for Gifted in conjunction with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction
- Offering regional meetings within ESD regions around the state
- Publishing a newsletter with relevant information about activities, curriculum, advocacy efforts at the state and national level
- Participating on State Advisory Board for Gifted Education
- Granting Gifted Student Scholarships for summer learning opportunities
- Recognizing exceptional students with Distinguished Student Awards
- Maintaining a web site with information on a variety of resources and contacts at the regional, state and national level
